Longmont Alleyscape in Progress

How is downtown Longmont's Alleyscape project coming along?  This is what the 400 block looked like in April when the alley was closed off:



It's not finished yet but the alley is open again, the pavers are installed, and the overhead wiring has been cleaned up.  The telephone poles will eventually be removed:




Looking west to Main Street, this was formerly a "breezeway".  Now it blends in with the new alley:


From the 500 block, looking south.  As you can tell by the construction, it's not done yet.




It's still too early for any businesses to adapt to their new backyard but 7-West's back patio next to the new brick-lined alley does provide a sneak peak at what restaurants may be able to do:

I actually walked through one of the former breezeways about a week or so ago... they are looking mighty nice! Thanks for all the pictures. :O)
