Pure Prairie League plays Downtown Longmont

A monster crowd turned up downtown this evening to see Pure Prairie League play. The band even joked, "Is the whole town out here tonight?"

PPL has been together 41 years, on and off, and through many lineup changes including Vince Gill as a band member in the late 70's. And yes, they played "Amie".

It was kind of a festival atmosphere downtown with the music and the ColoRODans Hot Rod show going on right next door.

Happened to notice this new downtown business on my way out. Appropriately for the evening, a guitar store: Larry's Guitar Shop on 5th Avenue just east of Main Street.

Two more downtown summer concerts this year: The Informants on July 29 and Rebecca Folsom on August 14.
