A Qwest splicing crew works 'round the clock at 4th and Coffman, to repair a cable that was accidentally cut. 2,000 phones lines are supposedly down.
It could be until Saturday (according to a Qwest recording) until this is completely repaired.
Do you think events like this are diminished these days because most everyone has cell phones? For some reason, this event doesn't appear to be getting much attention. Ten years ago, four or five days with no E-911 service would have been a big deal.
