Masonville Colorado, revisited

More Masonville, as suggested by one of my favorite readers of this lil' old blog. Masonville was founded in the early 1890's as part of a gold rush that never amounted to anything.

Masonville Mercantile is the "general store" of the area and has been around since those gold fever days. Open on Friday and weekends, and its got a totem pole outside.



Buckhorn Presbyterian Church, founded in 1909, completed in 1911. A short history can be found here (PDF).


The Post Office. Some have called Masonville a ghost town but that can't be, because it has a live functioning Post Office!
