West Boulder smokestack

I've probably seen this inactive smokestack hundreds of times but for some reason it caught my eye, early this morning in west Boulder, on Maxwell Street.

An artifact from an earlier industrial age, smack in the climb to the foothills.  I don't know yet what purpose it served at this location (electric plant, perhaps?).

Constructed by the Heine Chimney Company of Chicago.  Haven't been able to find out much about Heine Chimney other than they built smokestacks around the country, starting in the early 1900's.
